Overview:

  1. A good nourishing product to invigorating qi and blood;

Dosage:  per use 2-3 medium size dates ( about 6g)

Precautions:

  1. Chew the dates well as the tough skin is hard to digest.
  2. Do not eat dates when you have bad breath, mouth ulcers, tooth disease including gum and tooth pain or infection.
  3. Not suitable for diabetic people.
  4. Not suitable for people with constipation, smelly stools, stomach bloating, stomach pain.
  5. Not suitable for people who have body heat or fever.
  6. Not suitable for people coughing with yellow phlegm.

  1. 健脾益胃:辅助脾胃虚弱、腹泻、倦怠无力。
  2. 补气养血:红枣为补养佳品,食疗药膳中加入红枣补养身体、滋润气血。
  3. 养血安神:女性躁郁症、哭泣不安、心神不宁等。红枣和甘草、小麦同用为甘麦大枣汤,可起到养血安神、舒肝解郁的功效。
  4. 缓和药性:红枣常被用于药性剧烈的药方中,以减少烈性药的副作用,并保护正气。

建议用量: 泡茶饮每次2-3颗(约6克)

副作用及禁忌

  1. 枣皮:红枣是滋补调养佳品,可以经常食用,但切忌过量,食用过多会引起胃酸过多、腹胀等问题。而且红枣的枣皮消化起来比较困难,一定要细嚼慢咽。
  2. 红枣的高含糖量对牙齿有一定危害。如果吃太多红枣,却没有饮用足够的水,很容易蛀牙。已经患上牙病的人更是不宜食枣。
  3. 红枣最好不要跟黄瓜或萝卜一起食用。萝卜中含有抗坏血酸酶,黄瓜中则含有维生素分解酶,这两种成分都可能破坏其他食物中的维生素。
  4. 红枣也不要与动物肝脏同食。动物的肝脏富含铜、铁等元素,铜铁离子极易使其他食物中所含的维生素氧化而失去功效。
  5. 服用退热药时不要食用红枣。服用退热药物同时食用含糖量高的食物容易形成不溶性的复合体,减少药物初期的吸收速度。枣属于含糖量高的食物,故不能与退热药物同食。
